Miranda Cashman received two Gold Key Awards for writing in the 2008 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, administered by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers for students in grades 7 through 12.  Miranda won 2 out of only 4 Gold Keys for writing awarded to 7th graders in Massachusetts, for her entries in Journalism and the Short Short Story.  Miranda’s work, together with that of other Gold Key winners (the highest regional awards), will be considered for national level recognition in the next phase of The Awards.
National winners will be celebrated in an awards ceremony in Carnegie Hall in New York City in June.
